The death of foreign policy realism

If you watched the inauguration today, you heard the words "freedom" over and over and over. Never stability. Just freedom.

It looks like these guys aren't going to pull their uturn towards foreign policy realism this term. And that's basically a function of George W. Bush's simplistic stupidity. He believes he's on a mission from God to spread democracy. He won't turn back now.

Those of us who scoff at the possibility of Bush attacking Iran can't rest easier after this speech.

Personally, I still think the Pentagon leaked the that "story" to Sy Hersch as a head fake to Iran. But who knows? Maybe these guys are THAT crazy and really want to go in with bombers and take out the Mullahs.
