Ohio was stolen! (part 2)

From the post section on Dailykos. Enjoy!
I really think Ohio can be won by Democrats but we really need help. I just served as the recount observer for Cobb in my small southern county. We had several active Democrats from the county present and I told them I wanted to become more activein their organization. I just have the feeling thier meetings are more of a social event.None of them had or used computers ,so I'm not even sure how they keep up on current issues. They did not have any idea what the recount was about or why we were doing it-they actually seemed to feel it was a waste of time and money. Anyway, I'm going to start going to meetings next month and I thought I would suggest using a method like chuches do with their prayer chains. We could have a list of people on a call sheet and since I get all of the breaking info I could start the call chain and spread the news that way. People can be told to write letters ,make calls, whatever, the way we do with e-mails.That's really the only way I can think to get some of these older people involved and informed and put more pressure on our politicians. - By Crazymom
Yeah, either that or you're an idiot!
If we were talking about 'rational' people I can't help but agree with you. It is so obvious that there was widespread and systematic fraud and disenfranchisement in this election on a national level that a 'rational' person couldn't help but see it.
The problem arises when public officials can no longer be trusted to be `rational' or nonpartisan. The problem arises when we can no longer trust public officials to fulfill their oath of public office and do that which is in the best interests of the public.

The pain of not knowing that John Kerry won the election will be far surpassed by the pain of knowing he won and the evidence was ignored or relegated to tin-foil hat land.

Could it be those same corporations are also responsible our poor public school system that allowed you to somehow slip through?
Democrats' moment of truth...is approaching. If no Senator stands up to join the House Dems, as happened in the aftermath to the 2000 election, we can write off the Democratic Party and John Kerry's claim that he will keep fighting.
We'll soon see if the spine transplant took or is being rejected. - by claude
Shut up. Seriously.
Congress and Senate must debate...

... the vote in question, then vote themselves wether or not to accept the state total that has been put up for review.
As stated, the GOPers will undoubtedly re-appoint Bush - HOWEVER - this results in multiple issues with the vote in Ohio - and perhaps elsewhere - being put into the Congressional Record.

It is a prime example of how we can lose the battle but win the war ... if ANY Dem Senators have the backbone to stand up and lead the charge.

They will lose or win the 2006 mid-terms based on their response to this, I predict.
Maybe if we unleash a bunch of screwy conspiracy theories on the country, then they'll vote for us!
Greetings all and Happy Holidays. Someone please lock me on and explain to me what's going on? The main stream media has said sh__t about "the Ohio Recount"(except Keith Olbermann, who has some damned integrity). I know that something is fishy in the Buckeye state, but what? Odds are Kerry WON that economically hard hit state handily, minus the GOoPers "digitized" dirty tricks campaign a/k/a "Karl Rove, Inc". In short, when is this story going to hit full blast, when is the press going to wake up and put some heat on this thing, when are we going to see some REAL muscle?!? What can I do to assist in expediting this? Help me understand the tactical situation on the ground, a/k/a

The situation is that you're an idiot.

Evil corporations stole the election!

Ok I'm seriously about to pull my hair out. Over at Dailykos, a group of idiots are obsessing about how "Bush stole the election".

How can we ever win elections when people refuse to leave their fantasy world where their ideas/campaign strategy/etc. actually won in 2004?

We ran a liberal candidate this year against an unpopular president. We lost. If we run another one in 2008, we'll lose again. End of story.
